Whoever told you that? I`ve currently got a 32mb Dimm @66mhz + 2x 64mb Dimms
@100mhz on my P266, working in perfect harmony, as they will only work at
the slow bus of 66mhz, they can`t conflict. How do you get an 8 mb Dimm?
Windows 98 will run on 32mb ram, I`m using it now, and it`s also installed
on my P120 with only 32 mb, and a full installation. There`s loads of PC
users and re-sellers of PC computer equipment that don`t know enough about
their products. The price paid for 66mhz Dimms is greater atm than that of
100mhz Dimms, even some second hand prices because they`re in short supply.
I`ve heard rumours of certain motherboards not accepting PC 100mhz Dimms,
but as far as I know they`re only rumours, unless you know different.
