Try doing a raw transfer check with SysInfo. It's reasonably good at
estimating the speed.

Then do the following:

Get the output from ShowConfig, C:Info, Devs:DosDrivers/CD<x>.
Also, from Addbuffers <HD>: for all partitions and CD roms.

MaxTransfer, mask, block size and filesystem (all FS information please, name
version and whether it's actually used on the partitions).

Collect them up, and post them here. Then we'll have something to work on. I
can get 650MB of files off a CD in just a few minutes with my 060 machine, and
that's involving a Zorro2 BuddhaIDE interface (something like 2.5MB/s maximum
on Zorro3).
