Call me a fool, but I ordered a Plextor 16/10/40 the other day and I'm expecting it in the next few days.
At the end of the day, if I can't get it working I bet I can re-coup nearly all the cost of the drive by selling it on eBay if I need to.
I will relay the outcome for the benefit of people on the list who are thinking about the drive anyway. :-)
