Are you sure this skank of PC CD writer software is using UDF?
CD-RW discs can't be read by all CD-ROMs. If it's more than a few years old,
it won't work (then again, I have a newish drive here which won't even read
some pressed CDs, even after cleaning. Bah.)
Try burning a CD-R. If you can read that, you know why CD-RWs don't work.
