I'm not expert, but from what I've seen, you need a Kernal that had PCMCIA enabled.
Since the Squirrel SCSI uses this.

I've no idea how you work out which device it would be either. Is there a command
under linux to list your devices.

On my SCSI bus (via BPPC) you use /dev/sda ..... It could be similar on your Squirrel.

When you say installed kernal, I assume you mean the base_2.2.tgz ? to install the base
package.

Anyway, as Alan said you can press ALT+2, 3 etc to get another console up ;-)

Check to see if you have a mount point for the device you are going to mount.
For example, cd /dev, mkdir amiga, mount -t affs /dev/hda1 /dev/amiga.
You may use another device rather than hda1 could be hda2...3...4.. ?
I think you have to edit yout ATP install source with something like file://dev/amiga/ or
something ?
