This is too obvious, but just in case:
Can you undo whatever you did to make the PFS partitions "automount"? That
is, set it back the way it was?
Then re-try it with the "old" system setup? If it works, back everything
up and then go back to the "new" system and re-format and restore the
backed-up stuff...
Also, another thing to try would be to attempt mounting the partitions
manually (however you do this in PFS - I am unfamiliar with it)
