Dont you just luv it when someone else has the same idea...
I was gonna do one that let other progs check for updates using a rexx
port..

I was gonna suggest the same thing...
In fact, with only a few small mods, it will be all he needs.
My prog was just gonna download a text file that had a version number and
URL of the update if the version is greater..
