Another way is using a recoverable Ram-Disk like vdisk.device.
Then it will only load once until you turn off the Miggy.
Ok, you might say if it crashes badly, the contents are lost,
but this happens only (to me, that is :) if I have a very very bad
crash and have to turn off power anyway.

Here's my part of Startup-Sequence:

Assign Exists VD0: >NIL:
IF NOT Warn
Assign RAM: DISMOUNT
EndIF
Mount VD0:
Assign Exists VD-RAM-00: >NIL:
IF NOT Warn
Relabel VD-RAM-00: RAM
EndIF
If Not Exists RAM:ENV
MakeDir >NIL: RAM:T RAM:ClipBoards RAM:ENV RAM:ENV/sys
Copy >NIL: ENVARC:#? TO RAM:ENV ALL
Copy >NIL: SYS:Prefs/Presets/RAMDisk.info TO RAM:Disk.info
EndIf

;Run >NIL: SYS:Utilities/SnoopDOS HIDE OpenLog "RAM:Snoopdos.log"

Assign Env: RAM:ENV
Assign Clips: RAM:Clipboards
Assign T: RAM:T
