I'm not going to assume, what he did not write. Although, it would seem
logical.

You might not have had something done right in the startup-sequence, if
you were having problems. Both HDENV and HappyENV's instructions are
pretty good at telling you what to change in the startup-sequence but it
is easy to make a mistake. I found that once installed, I really
couldn't tell that they were running vice the standard OS setup.
I've been using either HappyENV or HDENV for years. I have never
experienced HD rattling or excessive HD activity. Even though I have
plenty of RAM, I finally settled on HDENV when I got very fast drives on
the CSPPC SCSI. I see no reason to not use one of the two. My only real
reason for their use is a quick bootup even with a very large env.
BTW on an additional item. I finally installed BlizKick and am using all
of its options, including the breakup and inclusion of the ROMUPDATE. So
far everything in Dopus has worked flawlessly along with the rest of my
system.
