they dont have to release the differences or the changes. these may come
on the same CD as the final product,

gcc takes less than a full day to compile on the 060. you'd do a straight
-> PPC cross-compile and then you're sorted straight away

incidentally, the differences between GCC 2.95.2 running native on PPC and
native on the 060 is phenomenal.... just for those who are still making
PPC apps using the 68k compiler! :-)
