I only have SCSI devices, so I can't help with master/slave settings. Does the
drive show up at all in the list of drives in HDToolbox? If it does then you
need to install it before you can partition it. Icons won't appear on your
desktop until you have installed an Amiga RDB and have created at least one
partition.
Failing that, is there any way you can try the drive in another machine? And
have you any documentation to verify the master/slave settings?
