I dont have to do ppc-amigaos-gcc, i just have to type gcc

no, ADE: is what gets assigned and all the stuff installed into when you
use/install GeekGadgets2 onto your system

GG2 is BIG. too big really for it to be kept up to date on Aminet
comfortably . its best to get it from the parent site.
