Agreed, Java and Linux are very much in "vogue" and really Amiga has
to hire a really good marketing or PR person/team to aggresively
market the DE to all and Sundry. Try and find a couple of ex MS
marketing people, we all know how good they are ;)

On the me too subject, yes I too agree that Sharp are good but they
are no Sony or Nokia, and I really feel a bit let down with the phrase
"Earth Shaking".
I would honestly prefer honesty above all else, If Amiga had come out
and said, we are going to partner up with Sharp and Psion to start
with everyone on the Amiga scene would have said "wow, thats good,"
instead our hopes and expectations were raised up too far.

This is where I part company with you, personally, I am looking
forward to the release of the OS4.0 PPC and A1,

Why? Nothing was set in concrete, besides you know the history of the
Amiga, directional change is par for the course. I don't understand
people who use an Amiga and then buy a PC to make use of all the
latest games,Apps and continue moaniong.
I have a Mac at home which has all the M$ office apps in there and
occassionally I use it, but I spend most of my time using the Amiga,
because, despite it's short comings in lack of apps and games, it
still has no rival for ease of use and friendly-ness.

I also agree with you that it is a shame that the DE doesn't appear to
have AOS backward compatibilty built in. But, would you have been able
to run Nightlong on a PDA? ;)

realism :/
Actually Anthony, I think you highlight the same concerns some of us
have, however, in all honesty can you really live without using an
Amiga for your day-to-day or hobb-iest use?
I know I can't!
