No.
Windows uses MSHTML.DLL to layout it's windows, using a nice mixture
of HTML+JScript (in the left hand panel, the little folder image and the
rainbow bar, file information and image previews) and a fancy ActiveX
control for the folder views.
This is why "Internet Explorer" is so integrated. They just leveraged the
layout system of the browser rather than create a whole new way of
doing folders. Slower, but less memory hungry in the long run.
(this is also why iexplore.exe is only 39 kilobytes here, and Voyager
runs into 600 kilobytes - modularisation, and the fact that every
desktop component is using the same libraries)
Explorer.exe is the same as LoadWB. It just fires up some stuff and
runs.. I can't think of what it's like really, but.. umm.. consider if you
had.. hmm.. it'd be like running LoadWB to fire up the Workbench, and
then running DOpus on top of that in the Workbench screen from
the same command?
