Which I'll answer anyway.
Because not all programs want to force a stack setting on
the user, plus it's a royal pain sometimes. Most apps will
check their stack, but the code to actually swap for a much
bigger one is quite complicated in a "I'd really rather be
adding features to my app" kind of boring way, unless you
use the compiler's stack replacement routine but then you
limit yourself to one compiler..
