It isn't. It looks like your CDROM drive is unable to handle
multi-session CDs. CD17 was multi-session but the Amiga data was in the
final session so the drive is able to read it (I expect you can't see
the Linux files on that disc). I'm surprised at how many of these
non-multisession drives are floating around, considering that the drive
I bought in 1994 reads them perfectly.
There is no easy solution, and I expect you'll find the same with
AACD20. The good news is that AACD21 and onwards are reverting to
single-session so you should have no further troubles.
