Sorry dad! <gg>
Point taken, I've had a lot of 'software failures' on my Miggy (to the point
where workbench would no longer load). I ditched O/S 3.5 and reinstalled 3.1
but it still wouldn't boot! Gary (Eyetech) said it was a software failure
and installed 3.9 and it now boots ok. (So he tells me) It's just that
software failure 123456 at least gives the impression that SOMEONE knows why
it went wrong rather than 'it's gone wrong because its gone wrong'! <gg>
As for the keyboard problem, it was refused on Quark for Windows. A truly
wonderful piece of software that didn't have an unistall and never appeared
in the add/remove programs list! Truly a well written program, eh?
I have no problems with getting in touch with the software company when I
have a problem but my setup never worked as it should and numerous emails to
various software houses went unreplied! To be honest, I get a better
response here! Plus the satisfaction of getting it off my chest! <gg>
How many people here will now rush out and buy Quark for Windows rather than
the longer route of Fusion or Shapeshifter (another topic on this board) and
then Quark for Mac?
It all adds to our knowledge base and makes us all wiser in the long run!
Your loving son.......
Richy.
