Hello Matt
I know I said I wouldn't but I couldn't resist. This will be my last post.
(maybe)
On 23-Apr-01, you wrote:

I never had a problem with long division or anything, it was A level Stats
that got me (What the hell is the point of a poission distribution?).
Seriously, and this may shock you, I don't keep printouts of everything you
post on some Matt shrine or anything. I've read litterally thousands of
postings on MOS/AOS4 since St. Louis
so I don't remember everything. If you really hinted that much then you
might as well tell us, or at the very least recap over all the clues like a
BBC Schools program.

Not over that case surely? Haage and Partner are hardly a HUGE company.

I've never liked H&Ps stuff. For example the one product of thiers I own
Storm C as part of the NDK, I tested with the bog standard hello world
program, to get a feel of it, and the file it produced was HUGE!!!
Also I've said for a long time since St Louis that Amiga should have picked
MorphOS. I've ever since I first read about it I was interested, but Amiga
didn't, end of story. If MorphOS could prove Amiga wrong by the end of the
year, and bplan actually produce some decent hardware then great. I wish
them well.
But and this is a big but, (no "your mum" jokes please) I can't stand people
from either side bitching and slagging off the other. I can't see how
"meagerone" and "ralphOS" comments do anything productive. Sure there is a
place for discussion of the merits of two and comparisons between them, but
childish bickering and bitching achives nothing. The most frustrating
thing is when those involved join in, talented people acting like arses,
posting god knows what crap instaed of doing what they do best.

DE will be available for every platform, this just provides a solution for
current users. There is no way Amiga could compete with M$ in the desktop
market, they saw that (admittedly long after lots of people including
myself), and decided to focus mainly on using DE for a content layer on
host OSes. they had a gap in thier complete solution, the homeserver which
they decided to fill with AmigaOS.

Won't MorphOS eventaully be 64bit as well? I thought Quark was designed to
be a 64bit kernal.

I know that. You were making it sound as if wanting WarpOS support is a
sin. It isn't, the fact is that there are two PPC kernals for the current
Amiga, if you ignore one then you lose out of half of all the possible
software available.

But ANYONE can do what Hyperion can according to what you said earlier. If
that was the case then why didn't someone do it better beforehand?

And they're going to use that as a positive point, but without actually
advertising it.

I'm sure you'd be upset if I stopped now, what would you do in your spare
time? :)
