No. The BlizzardPPC is a 32bit board, so the SIMMs don't have to be doubled
up. The description you read is for machines with 64bit memory buses, like the
CyberstormPPC or Pentium2+ class machines..
There is an issue with page sizes which can cause some SIMMs to only use half
their capacity, but I'm not clued up on that.
