You have to bear in mind that my Amiga has gone through quite a few
updates and upgrades, with software being added at all stages along
the way, so I've sort of lost track of when what was added ;)

I bought IDEFix at a WOA in London, and installed it, it worked. Later
I wanted to access Mac CDs when I installed Fusion. I installed an
Oktagon SCSI controller in my A4000, then later a CyberStormPPC, then
bought a CD-RW, then changed the CD-ROM. Not to mention the upgrades
from OS3 to 3.5.....

I tried various CD file systems along the way, but CacheCDFS seemed to
work with the least trouble.

Now of course, with the latest change to the CyberStorms SCSI3, I need
to go back to basics again, hence all the questions.

I had a lot of problems installing 3.5, because of the heavily patched
system I was running. Since then I've tried to do away wiwth a lot of
the patches.
