Ok everyone jump on me now!
I'm sure that ExtendedDataOut simms (or any other type of simm) have to be
bought in pairs! Basically they have to be at matched speeds, ie they must
both be at 60ns or whatever and preferably from the same manufacturer.
This goes back to the days when computers ie PC's were 16 bit. With the move
to 32 bit the memory chips had to be installed in matched (16 bit) pairs!
Hence the reason why older PC's come with 4 memory slots and PC's wont
recognise unmatched or odd amounts of SIMM's chips, it's an 'industry
standard'!
Also bear in mind that single or double sided chips should be matched, that
is, if it has black spidery boxes on one side only, don't fit it with one
that has boxes on both sides!

I've got my own big stick so don't beat me if I'm wrong.
