BT phone line changed to ADSL by BT modem from BT to

Ive just check the web site ( www.homechoice.co.uk ) and it says
that I need a PC (yek) with a free serial port to connect the
modem this sounds clear enough, checked in the user guide that
come with the modem and nothing is said about connecting via a
serial port!!!!!!!!
