??? Syndicate Wars ran OK on my P120 with a plain old (c. 1993) 2D
graphics card. OK, it's still pushing the limit for 68k, but I doubt
it would be worse than say Payback (since all buildings and objects
are supposed to be 3D in Payback and I'm sure they're not in SW).

It's not like no-one would have thought of doing it (it was one of the
first things I thought of after I first seen Syndicate Wars, but I
can't code games for toffee :).
Anyway, didn't Digital Images intend/start to do something like this?
