Hi all
Well on Friday, I was really excited about this weekend. I was off to
see the Corrs, staying with a long time good friend, and listening out
for "earth shattering announcements" from Amiga. What I got was a
fairly good Corrs concert, but disappointed with the crowd
participation as I was stuck between a bunch of old croanies who must
have though they where still at home in their arm chairs for all the
enthusiasm they showed, my friend had to work so I didn't see much of
her, Amiga made a couple of so-so announcements, which I am not sure
how they will work out in the scheme of things, Sharp I had figured
that out when I saw an artical on www.theregister.co.uk mentioning
sharps partnership with TAO. What's all this about OS4.0 etc?? Does
this mean that Amiga was unable to get DE running as a independant OS?
I am confused as to how this is earth shattering. To top the weekend
off I smashed my lovely Mini into a barrier over snake pass, just out
side Sheffield, just 20 minutes after getting the RAC out to fix a
busted windscreen wiper. I am now going to have to spend all the money
I had saved for the Amigaone, on my mini... and I don't think that
will even cover the damage 80( All in all I have had enough of this
weekend, which looked so promising, but then I just might be over
depressed after killing my car.... I await clarification on the future
of Amiga. I hope the latest anouncements do work out to be good news
maybe that would give me incentive to find another source of finance
to fix the car, rather than my Amigaone savings 80(
Peace
Zan
