You would probably like Gallipoli then, starred Mel Gibson as a main
character, but not THE main character amazingly enough. About teenager that
goes to Gallipoli on the pretence of being 18 years old. Very sad.
And I must say I haven't EVER heard the word antipodean used in a normal
conversation, more like a word told to us in Geography and then forgotten.
:)
Apparently something that had/has long plagued the American and perhaps the
British is fighting in environments other than green rolling hills. Aussies
seemed to do brilliantly in jungle, desert, forest, all sorts.
I'm also on both sides of the fence. I like to be able to point to Aussie
acheivements, because to be Aussie is as indefinable as the Amigan
community, and to Polish military acheivements, ie The field of poppies (i
think that's the name). <Objective look> Gee, I am really quite a patriotic
guy, I guess that's why I have even bothered sticking with the Amiga!
Too bring this back to Amiga remotely, when can thank countless Aussie
soldiers for saving Europe and allowing the Amiga to be invented :P
