With the power connected everything works fine; but with the SCSI
connected, forget it.

I'm sure it's not the power, though, as for a time I had this massive
full-height 4.2-gig SCSI hard drive in the tower and all worked fine
with it. Damn thing was too noisy, so I took it out. [Only paid $20 for
the drive, so that was no big loss!]
