Subject:Crashes on Net connection

Hi all,

I've just bought a modem for my Amiga but I've come across a problem.
Pretty please, someone help!!!

The problem happens every time I connect. (Genesis, OS3.9.) It dials,
connects, then I get a "Recoverable Alert: 0100 000C". After clicking
the mouse button, it happens again immediately, then again. It can
throw up the same recoverable alert several times in rapid succession.
Then the Genesis connection window disappears and it's okay, it's
connected and working happily... until I try to load another program.
It doesn't matter what the program is, the same alert always comes up
another 3 times in succession.

I've removed all my startup programs - no difference. (BTW, MCP says
it's a RAM problem, but it becomes unrecoverable and crashes if MCP is
running with the NoGuru option on.) I've tried the standard serial.device
in place of the hyperCOM1.device, with the modem in the standard port.
No difference.

Please can someone help me, before I tear all my hair out and throw
the computer out through the window!

On another note: okay, this is just weird. My computer speakers have
just started to pick up a radio station :-) It's too quiet to tell
what station it is, but it seems to be a bloke reading the news :-)
It seems to be the speakers themselves because adjusting the volume
knob makes no difference whatsoever to the volume of the radio
broadcast. %-))

Anyway, big thanks in advance if you can help!

BTW, AWeb doesn't display the Yahoo Groups website properly. I'll have
to change my email address setting anyway, so I won't have to use the
website.

TTFN,
Gareth Lewis.
