Hello,
Help!My Amiga stopped working. The symptoms are the following:
1-no power is reaching the two floppy drives
2-when I touch the cables inside the tower, there is sometimes a power cut or
at least something similar to a reboot.
3-sometimes it works fine,but mostly it doesn't.It doesn't boot,the disk
starts to spin and then stops.
4-the Blizzard is getting power,at least the fan is working.
5-it doesn't respond to keyboard reboots.
It worked OK for 3/4 months, then this started happening.
I sent the computer to my local shop, they said it was the motherboard at
fault,so now I'm waiting for a new one.But I'm fearing that something might
be causing the malfunction and does it again with the new motherboard.
I'm resigned to be without it for some time, but wouldn't want the same thing
to happen again. As anyone had a similar problem?Any possible causes?
My system is:Amiga 1200 towered,Blizzard 040/PPC with SCSI,B-Vision,4 GB
hard disk,64 MB SIMM,CD-ROM Pioneer,CD-RW Yamaha.
Any sugestion would be deeply appreciated.
Bye,
Nuno
Kind regards
