Yep, I love Tools Daemon! I think it's the best Amiga 'hack' yet! My miggy
has been down so long that I have got into PC mode! I recently rekindled my
CD/SX 32 and got so confused when I right clicked on an icon and got the
main menu up in the middle of the screen (magic menu). I'm used to a right
click and select 'delete'. Or single left click and hit the delete key.
Neither of which the Amiga does! I know there's a lot of debate about how
many buttons you should have on a mouse but I'm of the opinion that as the
primary input device on a computer the mouse should be able to perform ALL
of the BASIC functions you need. Keyboard shortcuts, are more complex, often
needing two hands and therefore should be used for more complex
instructions.
The new Amiga should be easy to use 'out of the box' if it hopes to capture
a market. So....... PC users with multi funtion mice and MAC users with only
one digit, where should the Amiga fit? In the middle with context sensitive
mice!
Aim at two buttons that both have a use and a scroll wheel and you've got a
good start point! No?
Richy.
