Hehe.
Thats bloomin hilarious!
Which raises an interesting question which I don't know if anyone has addressed:
What will the security be like for the AmigaDE and OS4 - 5?
Will it be just the same as what the current Amiga OS is or will there be some
really snazzy stuff built in?
Cos if the DE does take off and gets installed in cell phones and PDA's and
robotic porta-loo's, that would surely attract the attention of hackers and
virus creators. And if you have a system that is installed on squillions of
different machines, which behaves in an invisible mannar - and it uses slim
binaries, it could be a virus' dream environment and propogate like those things
that do so very rapidly and do nasty and destructive things (like humans for
example).
So, anyone got any thoughts on the potential problems and solutions regarding
security for the AmigaDE?
(And don't recommend things like- don't have any scripting languages, don't have
rigid boot blocks, don't have executables, don't have registries.
Hang on - a registry is a disaster waiting to happen so we can do without that).
