I'd semi-disagree with that. He only seems to get arsey when people
flame him for being part of p5, post his messages to mailing lists out
of context (and just include the sensationalist bits), or when people
flame him for posting info about competitors products (which people
might construe as putting the boot in).
The most recent case I can think of is the Mediator. He posted on ANN
about it having problems because there was a memory window, and there
would be problems with MMU tricks. Everyone jumped on him for that.
Now we know he was right to an extent. There wasn't a problem with the
memory window until you started looking to use screenmodes with big
memory requirements, and Warp3D development was more awkward. However,
if you make all the accesses to Mediator drivers go through Elbox's
Mediator driver (or future versions) there won't be a problem, it'll
jst be slower. Elbox also worked round this using the MMU and as Ralph
pointed out, there have been problems with it.
He does seem to have a short fuse when people piss him off though :)

If AInc and MOSteam are aiming to sell only to remaining Amiga users,
they're both screwed no matter if there is only one option. And why
should the people left support either of them? Out of loyalty? Dogs
are loyal. Like you say, people who are users will buy whatever
suits their needs. If they fail to sell enough copies of their OS,
they can't go blaming people for not buying something they don't want,
making it pretty much their own fault for not selling to a wide enough
audience.

Yeah, makes you wonder if AInc will try to block MOS. They definately
won't get any co-operation from MOSteam with H&P officially onboard.
