Opus and 3.9 work together. About the only part of 3.9 that doesn't work
with Opus is the animated icons.

Reviews tend to do that. tutorials tend to spend more time on how.

complex and hard to use aren't the same thing. Opus has a lot of
features, but that doesn't make it hard to use as you only have to use
one at a time. Each individual feature is easy to handle.

We did a two part Masterclass on Opus. There was also at least one Opus
tutorial in AF, maybe two. One was in their "Getting Started with..."
series.
