Subject:HELP!! SHOGO IS MAD

Hello,

Let me add something else now.

If I run CGX mode I can see that all the resolutions are available (320x240,
640x480, 800x600, etc) at 8, 15/16 and 32 bit. I tested them and they are
fine.

When I run Shogo now I can see (god knows why I could not before) in the
display section the cpu only software renderer and BVisionPPC.
Unfortunately while the software rendered is available at different
resolutions at over 32000 colour or over 65000, the BVisionPPC rendered is
availabke only at over 65000 and not 32000.

Now, if I choose any resolution (even the lowest one) and launch shogo I get
a black screen. If I go back on the wb screen the output window would say:
no zbuffer short memory.

My Amiga has 128MB of memory.

Hope it helps to find a solution.

Regards

----------- PREVIOUS EMAIL---------------

Hi,

I have downloaded Shogo from Aminet.

I have unpacked the archive on my HD and I tried to run.

I got the launch window but I could not select anythin in the DISPLAY
section (I was looking for some sort of software/hardware render mode
switch).

I decided to launch the game and it was slow like hell!!!!!

I then pressed escape to call the option menu and modify the render mode
from there.
I left the display at 640x480 8 bit and chose BVisionPPC render mode rather
than the CPU only render mode.

After that the screen went black and nothing else happend.

I went back on my WB and I saw the output window open with a message:
no more z buffer memory shortage.

My amiga is a PPC Amiga with BVision and 128 MB of RAM.

What is the problem?

Kind regards
