That sounds like a power supply failure to me. Do the LEDs light up?

Best bet is to strip it right down to a bare bones A1200, plug in a TV
if necessary, and try to boot off a copy of the WB 3.1 floppy. Then try
the hard drive with the WB on it - still boot off floppy, just see if the
drive is there. Build up gradually.

Some part of the machine has failed, 99% of it is still OK. You just
have to find out which part has failed, and replace it or get it fixed.

AmigaOne is a _hardware_ spec. Hardware is being made by Eyetech and
Bplan. Eyetech showed a working board at St Louis, apparently, and
expect to ship in a few weeks.

It could use your existing drives and CD-RW.

There is some talk of linking up WinUAE with the ISA Catweasel card, to
allow reading of Amiga floppies. Software drivers are the problem - at
present it only works with Linux.

Not many PCs still have an ISA slot, BTW.

The AmigaDE as a standalone operating system running on x86 is a long
term project. AROS is another.

I would say, try to find out what's wrong with your Amiga first.

It's best really to have a PC as a second computer, and an Amiga (or
AmigaOne) as your main one.
