It's very customisable (for a Windows program). The preview pane is
there by default, but it can be switched off, or moved to one of 5
different positions. It has extensive macros for inserting pretty
much anything you like into your emails - as well as a tagfile
facility.

If you want you could set it up to behave almost exactly like YAM,
except without the annoying things... like not being able to do
anything when you're downloading mail.

If you have to use a Windows machine for email, I wouldn't hesitate
to recommend it. As you say, it's definitely better than OE :)
