I must admit that I'm still none the wiser.
If someone wants me to buy something, I expect them to tell me about it or
make it easy for me to find out about. I don't expect to spend ages looking
for something!
As far as the direction Amiga is taking or what all the partnerships
mean......... no idea!
I still don't understand why MorphO/S and Amiga don't get together and pool
their resources to release a PPC Amiga O/S! Is it that hard to talk to each
other for the benefit of the people that buy your products?
As for the BoXeR, I know it's 040/060 based but it also has a better than
AGA display as standard and can be upgraded to PPC for minimal cost with the
advantage that add on cards don't need a daughter board and accelerator
card, even the Rom can be flash upgraded! It's only drawback is that it
never seems to be more than just a rumour!
I know what an Amiga is right now, I've used one, I've still got one (Well
actually Eyetech have it) and I like it but I have no idea what the next one
will be like!
I'd like to see a familiar and user friendly O/S with everything we've
become used to but with the power of a modern computer. Imagine 3.9 but with
a graphic card display and the ability to open and run almost anything, no
matter what the format!
I'm not stupid for thinking the way I do! I simply don't have the
information that an inquisitive mind needs to satisfy itself.
As I said before "So the world may know!" is all well and good but I don't
know, so tell me!
All I'm after is some intelligent discussion on where we think Amiga is
going and what we can expect from the Amiga One!
