Subject: | Overclocking an 060 |
I have a friend who plans to overclock his 1200's 060 chip. He has an
apollo board with a 50mhz rated part, housed in a power tower. He
wants to take it to 75mhz or higher if possible.
I would appreciate any advice on safe limits, heatsinks, fans etc.
If possible could anyone give details of where to find a suitable
cooling solution and faster crystals, preferably in the U.K.
I also own a DCE built 33mhz Blizzard, which I would like to overclock
it has a small fan fixed to it with glue. Can anyone advise me on
removing the fan (in order to fit a larger one).
Would I be better off getting a replacement 040 chip rather than
risking damaging the present one? can anyone tell me where I can get
one?
I'm sure there are other people would like to know or can share there
experiences.
