Good Evening All,
I am new to this group but am an Amiga owner of
many years standing. I want to tower my 2nd A1200, but for a modest amount
(£50) I can purchase an A4000 with a few problems. The problems seem fairly
minor, but as I have never owned or had anything to do with an A4000/030
here goes nothing......
The hard drive is positively U/S as is the cd drive(according to the
owner).The main board seems ok and there seems to be 6mb of ram, all the
ports look clean and ok.
This initially seems to sound a lot cheaper than a Tower for my A1200 but
will it cost more in the long run. The A1200 I intend to to tower has a
250mb HD, 10Mb ram, SCSI external CD Drive 2x external Floppy drives and a
Phillips monitor.
I have some old Amiga Formats in which some advice is given but these are a
few years old now. If towering is an alternative can anyone point me in the
right direction of some Websites that give info.
