As an A4000 and A1200 owner, I can recommend the 4000 with a couple
of reservations. These are as follows:
Do you want PPC or mediator support? 1200s are cheaper.
Do you want only custom Amiga hardware? 4000s do it.
As regards stability, generally the 4000 will beat the 1200 due to
being built for expansion beyond just speed and memory.
It all comes down to just what you want to spend overall, and what
you want to do. Happy thinking.
