If the HD and CD are broken, you can simply replace them with the ones
from your A1200, provided you have a 3.5" HD in the 1200. Otherwise
you'll need a new HD, which are fairly cheap. But it is suspicious that
both HD and CD don't work, it could be the IDE interface onthe
motherboard that's at fault. I'd recommend trying the machine with a known
working HD before buying.
