Probably not the demand.

There's more to it than that. I tried to use a PC keyboard through a
switchbox. Once I'd switched it to the PC, the Amiga's keyboard
interface stopped working until I rebooted. I suspect it was falling
over because it was missing some sort of sync signal.

You could use a Mac keyboard...
