Obviously, Vincenzo is using something other than FFS for the partition in
question.

Using long filenames with FFS results in a simple truncation as it does
with almost all Amiga programs. Support for 107 characters is built into
the operating system; it isn't a problem. The truncation is handled at the
filesystem level if necessary.

I've been running SFS for some time now and, along with PFS, it supports
the AmigaDOS maximum of 107 characters (108 less the requisite 0 string
terminator). I've converted my entire system over to SFS and with the
aforementioned exception of the DOpus truncation bug, it works very well.
SFS also offers the advantages of vastly improved speed, stability and
simple deleted file recovery over FFS.
