Uh, at the moment I am on an old PS/1, 486/DX33, 8MB, Win3.1 and
I can tell you: IT SUCKS ! Since it was a gift to my family I decided
to upgrade it a little (Soundcard, larger HDD, made it possible to use
the internet).

Another thing I found very valuable is WinCommander (exists in both
16bit and 32bit versions). It is a two list filemanager, similare to
Dopus4 and the others. It can use FTP just as Dopus5 does (in a
lister) and can handle some archive formats as directory. One is LHA.
I am not sure if it satisfies your special demands, but you might want
to give it a try. It is one of the worthiest Windows progs I came
around so far.

For the true Amiga believers:

While investigating the web for any valuable upgrade options I came
around some sites, that show how to get the most out of Win31 these
days. I mailed one of the webmasters to compliment him for the very
nice web-document he has done (it saved me quite some times). He
uses a PIII@500MHz with 40GB of HDD space. And he runs
Windows 3.1 on it !!!!! Upon my line mentioning that I use the Amiga he
asked me:
"What is so good with the Amiga that people still use it, since...", all
he knows he said, "...the Amiga had preemtive multitasking long
before the others and is low in resource-demands, but thats all !"

Little does he know....

If he'd use Win98 or Me I'd understand his manner. Not that I
would agree....but using Windows 3.1 (out of passion !), the most crap
of all the OS out there on a modern PIII machine....?!

I still am breeding my answer to him. At the moment I try to
circumvent the word "masochist" and need a few days to settle down.
Oh boy !

This Pegasus Mail is not that bad at all, btw. (Except for the crashes)
