There's a far easier to do this and one that is more fitting to the way O/S3.5
works.
Make a filetype like this....
Name: Ram Disk ID: RAM Pri 127
Disk ram:
Then select the icon "ENVARC:sys/def_ram.info", save it and re-boot. As a
bonus you can add all sorts of items to the popup menu's of the ram icon.
Also worth turning on in Environment - Icon Settings is "Use Workbench Icon
Positions" and "Remove Opus Icon Positions"

Not something I use but I seem to remember some minor problem with this ages
ago. Fiddle around with...
Environment - Lister Options - Allow file selection on source activation.
Environment - Miscellaneous - Mouse buttons over inactive banks.
... and see if this makes a difference.
