This is of course my personal opinion but I slightly tend to disagree...

According to this (my personal and humble) opinion, on the microsoft(r)
windows(tm) it is going to be JUST ANOTHER FILEMANAGER. Beside that
microsoft(r) windows(tm) does not lack JUST ANOTHER FILEMANAGER that much.
The original environment is somewhat usable there. Dopus would be THE KING
if written for the X-Window System though. That market is still (albeit
already not that loud as some time ago) screaming for a killer app of this
kind. It is also becoming (with all unixalikes on the field) more and more
the platform of choice for many people, companies and even governments who
do not want to pay microsoft(r) taxes and become foolishly dependent on Big
Bill.

That's why I wouldn't say "the only way" or "the only [...] option" is to go
for windows version...

Last And Least /me will not be able to use it. I will have to use some
crappy KDE's or GNOME's mc excuse for a filemanager...

Regards.
