On her return to Greenock H.M.S. Sainfoin was paid off. Many of us volunteered to take her back home to the U.S.A. Sadly this request was turned down and late in 1946 she returned to the United States as "Empire Crossbow" and I believe ended her days as "Cape Washington" in 1964 at Portsmouth, V.A. U.S.A.
