Here is an alternative if you want to use fat95 filesystem -
it allows you to use "long" filenames. I used to use
xfs but it was very slow.

I've used it reliably for over a year now with a PowerFlyer
1200.

/*
* Originally, this file was $VER: ZIPX 2.16 (28.6.98)
*
* ZIP X FileSystem entry for a 100M ZIP cartridge.
* Edited for fat95 plus some tweaks.
*/

FileSystem = L:fat95
Flags = 0
Surfaces = 1
BlocksPerTrack = 68
SectorsPerBlock = 1
SectorSize = 512
Mask = 0x7ffffffe
MaxTransfer = 0xFFFFFF
Reserved = 0
Interleave = 0
LowCyl = 0
HighCyl = 2890
Buffers = 100
BufMemType = 0
StackSize = 16000
Priority = 10
GlobVec = -1
DosType = 0x46415400

/* The Device and Unit fields are controlled by tooltypes
