If this box takes PAL in and gives VGA out, it is a scan doubler and
maybe also a flicker fixer. If you feed 640x512 into it, you can't
magically get 800x600 out.
Does it have RGB inputs (as from Amiga 23-pin) or just blurry composite
video input?
Actually with full overscan you can get around 700x550 from PAL, but
this uses a lot of Chip RAM.
