| Subject: | O/S 3.9 what's good and what's not? |
I've just got my EZ/PC tower back, complete with the all-singing O/S 3.9.
I tried the new Ami Dock and found it bl**dy ugly! Why can't we have dock
icons on the Workbench without the ugly border? That is, dock icons like
disk icons!
Anyway, I also installed Tools Daemon from AACD 19 then went through the
arduous task of patching it for 3.9! (I'm crap at shell stuff!)
It now works but I miss the dock icon option of Tools Manager! (Harder to
set up than Ami Dock but prettier)
So.......what patches work with 3.9?
And why can't we have a ready patched version of Tools Daemon for keyboard
dummies like me?
Is installer NG worth installing?
What does Vince Ed do? (It's already installed and it says it's a con and
raw handler) Doesn't Happy Env do that? Does Happy Env work with 3.9?
FBlit causes problems, is this a bad thing with 3.9?
Can anyone recommend anything to save chip ram?
I haven't got AA21 yet so if the answers are there, I'm sorry!
