Whats ugly about amidock? You can set what patterns suit you for its background and also
if you want to see icon name text. I have never seen a bordered icons in OS35 or OS39
so im guessing you must have forgotten to dissable borders in workbench prefs. do this
and you should see that its quite simple and effective. (wonder what its ppc task is doing? :)
